Bruisyard Hall, Suffolk
Bruisyard Hall Wedding Videographer
I love weddings at Bruisyard Hall! It’s such a peaceful, scenic spot for a wedding day, combining rustic Suffolk charm with luxury and intimacy – a great place to escape from the world with family and friends and dance the night away. You can definitely turn the volume up to 11 when you get married at Bruisyard, because with 700 acres of land surrounding you, there’s no chance of upsetting the neighbours 🙂 It’s also dog-friendly, judging by the presence of Hugo in the morning, who makes a guest appearance in the wedding video!
Emily and Richard both got ready at the venue. That’s another thing I love about Bruisyard weddings – there are cool spots for both the bride and groom to prepare in the morning, with no risk of bumping into each other. The bridal suite has great light and views of the front of the estate, while the boys tend to use the pool room for their morning preps. Nice dramatic lighting and a fitting space for the guys. Next to the pool room is the kitchen / breakfast room where guests can chill out and make something to eat and brew a coffee, it’s a lovely feature which makes for a really calm vibe and unique shots. You get the feeling of a posh B&B holiday home but with all the glamour and facilities of a top wedding venue.
The couple were totally chilled, right up until the bride’s arrival at the church where Richard was clearly overwhelmed with emotion. And who can blame him, seeing Emily arrive looking utterly gorgeous in her exquisite Suzanne Neville dress. It makes my heart sing every time I see an emotional groom!
Sadly, Emily’s brother Doug was unable to attend, but a cardboard cut-out of him and his other half was there on the day, and I think he got more attention from guests in his 2d form, than if he’d actually shown up in person. Card-board cut-outs of absent guests should totally be a thing for weddings – what a genius idea!
With the coolest couple, perfect weather, great music thanks to the string quartet then live band, and pizzas as the night-time treat, this was a really fun, upbeat and relaxed day. Also lovely to work alongside wedding photographer Dominic Whiten, he’s an experienced pro and really easy to gel with. Enjoy the film!
