A little taste of Amy and Jerrad’s hilarious and emotional wedding in the Cotswolds – the whole day condensed into a 60 second teaser 🙂 Who doesn’t love a Cotswolds wedding?
My favourite thing when making an upbeat wedding film is couples who know how to have fun, chill out, take a joke, let their hair down and party. Amy and Jerrad have all this in spades. I love the Cotswolds, as it has some of the best scenery in the UK, and it’s only a few hours away from Suffolk, where I live.
Kingscote Barn is set in its own secret valley with 400 acres of farmland, and it’s one of those venues which provides amazing views and a sense of escape without the stuffiness of some country manor weddings. It’s just a really inviting space to relax, be yourself and party, and the staff are all really welcoming, even during the dark days of covid panic when this wedding took place. I’m not going to talk about what we all had to go through with the masks and hand sanitiser etc in 2021, but let’s just say I’m glad we get to see faces all day long now! Fingers crossed those days are behind us!
Aside from the couple, the star of the show was Andre Saxman (guessing that’s not his real last name!), the insanely talented saxophonist. Live musicians are a great addition to weddings, especially when they can walk around and interact with guests. I see sax players at weddings a lot more these days and I’m so glad! If you’re on the fence about booking one – do it. And check out the grand entrance where Andre played in the couple, for one of the best atmospheres I’ve seen. Everyone on their feet and living their best lives. This to me is what weddings are all about, not slow gloomy shots. Added to that were the hilarious speeches, which the couple got to enjoy in their full film. Pretty much the perfect wedding – congrats guys!
