Amy and Oli’s wedding was a picture-perfect day at Syon Park, the ideal luxury venue for a romantic celebration. We’re lucky to have somewhere so impressive this close to the capital. Syon Park in West London his just one of the coolest wedding venues I’ve filmed at, mixing grandeur with panache, and every time I work there I’m excited about the footage I know I’ll capture. It does make my job look easy!

The ceremony took place in the Great Hall of Syon House, which is super fancy with black and white marble and statues and all that jazz. The reception was in the courtyard where the string quartet filled the air with dulcet tones in between the roar of low flying passenger jets (just kidding, the planes aren’t loud but they’re really impressive to see!). The evening reception was in the Conservatory, which is huge yet delicate in design, filled with exotic plants from all corners of the world. It’s like stepping into another galaxy. Or, like, a really swanky greenhouse. It’s such a fun, unique place to work in and hopefully you agree that the footage is a little bit awesome.

We had great weather all day, although if it does rain at Syon Park it’s no biggie, given the size of the inside bits and how pretty everything is. Amy and Oli were a funny yet romantic couple, ensuring plenty of laughter and emotions. The live band in the evening had everyone dancing the night away, and the conservatory looked spectacular as the coloured lights bounced around the glass of the building.

Julia, the photographer, was the best. She’s lovely to work with, very talented, and has a great eye. We worked together to get some cracking sunset shots, with the couple silhouetted next to the glass conservatory. And yeah, those passenger planes flying low over the area did make for cool shots of giant planes next to the pretty architecture. Give me more!
